An apartment that celebrates both cosiness and modernism is an impressive feat indeed. However, if you take a closer look at the beautiful Baltic coastal city of Gdynia in Poland, this combination of high-quality modernism with a touch of effortless-chic will be of no surprise. Known for both its beautiful history and modernist architecture, Gdynia-based designers at Mebloscianka Studio have designed a stunning venue that encapsulates the feel of the city in its entirety!

This project combines feminine flair with natural finishes and attention to detail around every corner. Light, bright and chandelier-chic, you might think you're in Paris – but forget Paris, you're in Poland and there's certainly a lot to offer!

A fully-equipped kitchen

Bright white wall colour, exposed stone back splash, finished wood countertops and special attention to all things necessary area what make this kitchen a knock out. The mini-chandelier over the dining nook is the perfect size for a small area, and surpringly not too overpowering.

Check out the highlights under the shelves and cabinets providing extra work-top light and a great design feature. What makes this kitchen really stand out? The abundance of natural light and place for everything needing a belonging!

A small, yet fitting living room

At first glance, any regular designers might see this as a problematic living space – it's in a corner and doubled with an angled ceiling! However, Mebloscianka Studio used this to their advantage by sticking with a smaller-sized corner sofa, an accent table as a coffee table and a customised media table for those late movie nights.

The wall with black and white matted frames and photographs adds to the chic feel, as well as all neutral accessories.

A perfectly cosy bedroom

Small but efficient, this bedroom pops due to the use of creative wallpaper. This effect could easily be done in smaller bedrooms – simply add a feature wall with fabric or paper wallpaper!

Again, all neutral furnishings and accessories, a shelf and a few storage baskets are all you need in order to keep the room fresh, organised and clutter-free.

Attention to details

How lovely is this spiral staircase? Most can only dream to have a city apartment which includes one! The rail-free nature of the staircase gives a minimalist touch to this chic apartment.

Also, note the frosted glass used for the separate doors – this not only allow natural sunlight to infiltrate every room of the attic apartment, but gives an excellent amount of privacy as well. Oh – and don't forget the chandelier and fresh bouquet of flowers!

Bright corridors

We now have the spiral staircase from a different angle, viewing the back right corner of the previous view. Not one space in this home is left to the shadows as the use of both frosted glass and mirrors have reflected and redirected light to every area. Looking for something fun and unique to add to the space? The designers have that covered too with exposed brick walls and hanging pom-pom lights!

It is incredibly rare indeed to find an apartment this nicely renovated in any city. Not only has the historic integrity of the apartment remained intact, but the addition of anything new has now offered the tenants a modern, efficient and highly-functional life as well!
